Assistance with daily care

Daily care assistance involves supporting individuals with routine activities, including help with or supervision of essential daily tasks to maintain well-being and independence.

At ucs, we are able to help in assisting with daily care such as:

  • Personal hygiene – Support with showering, bathing, oral hygiene, dressing, and grooming.
  • Toileting and hygiene management – Assistance with bladder and bowel management, as well as menstrual care.
  • Eating and drinking – Help with meal consumption and hydration.
  • Appointment attendance – Support in attending medical and other essential appointments.
  • Use of aids and appliances – Assistance with hearing aids, communication devices, and other supportive equipment.
  • Mobility and transfers – Help with moving in and out of bed, as well as transferring on and off the toilet.
  • Injury and disability-related care – Application of splints and basic first aid for injuries related to a participant’s disability.

Assitance with personal domestic care

NDIS participants are assisted with taking part in personal domestic care to complete tasks for themselves.

Personal domestic care supports may be required across a variety of settings. For example, a participant living alone in their own home, living with family or other people, when undertaking social, recreational, education, or employment activities or during holidays away from home.
