Community Access Support
Community access support involves us assisting individuals in participating in social, recreational, and community activities, fostering inclusion, independence, and engagement in everyday life.
At UCS, we provide Community Access Supports, assisting individuals in engaging with their community and participating in everyday activities, including:
- Social and recreational activities – Support in attending events, social gatherings, and recreational programs.
- Shopping and errands – Assistance with grocery shopping, banking, and other essential tasks.
- Public transport and travel – Support with using buses, trains, and other transport options safely and confidently.
- Attending appointments – Help with getting to and from medical, therapy, and other important appointments.
- Educational and vocational support – Assistance in attending classes, training programs, or work-related activities.
- Community participation – Encouragement and support in volunteering, group activities, and other community engagement opportunities.
- Building independence – Helping individuals develop skills to navigate their community with confidence.
Group and Centre Activities
NDIS participants are assisted with developing skills to become as independent as possible.
We assist and encourage participants to join in community, social and recreational activities with a group. The goal is to foster an inclusive and stimulating environment in which participants are free to meet new people, make new friends, participate in activities, and learn new skills, all while socializing and having fun.
